Interclub aerobatics

A round of the F2B interclub stunt was hosted by KMFC at the St Ives Showground field on Sunday April 11th. The weather was fine with a moderate and sometimes “Kuringai washing machine” type wind in evidence. Nine flyers entered and two rounds were flown. As usual this was a handicap event.
The winner was KMFC’s own James Batty on 1414pts followed by Don Keyssecker on 1404pts and Frank Battam on 1373pts. Mark Batty obtained the "Highest off the Stick" award.
Our thanks to the judges Joan McIntyre and Paul Kenny and to those that pitched in to help with the many tasks associated with a contest.
Of special interest was Bruce Hoffman’s ground demonstration of his latest electric stunter. Unable to fly because of a hand operation Bruce was able to impress with the noiseless power and smoothness of his power system and we look forward to seeing it in action real soon.

  Club Stunt
A further round of the club’s Club Stunt contest was flown on Saturday April 17th. Weather conditions were excellent. Four flyers entered. The handicap system perfected by Tom Ransome was applied as usual and the winner was Steve Rothwell followed by Wal Bolliger (even though both his flights ended in impromptu landings) and John Goodwin. The scores were very close and if a few more potential stunt flyers would emerge from the closet we would have an intense competition on our hands.
