INTRODUCTION |

The aims of the Brendan Farrell 500 race are:
- A race over 500 laps (31 miles or 50 km) flown to modified Club Race Rules to determine the time taken by each competitor for the distance
- Races will have 2 or 3 teams flying at once, to be determined by the C.D.
- A team can consist of any two contestants
- A contestant can be in more than one team.

- Laps per tankful must not exceed 60. Any laps flown beyond 60 will not count.
- Spare planes can be used whenever necessary. The team alone decides if they wish to change planes. There is no limit to the number of planes used or the number changed.
- A speed faster than 32 seconds for 10 laps will incur a penalty of 25 extra laps.
The speed may be checked, and the penalty imposed, more than once during the race.
- Teams still flying at the end of 45 minutes will be credited with the laps covered in that time.
- A model must be pitted at its designated sector, or at a vacant sector. A sector is NOT vacant if allocated to another team, even if that team's model is in the air at the time.
- High flying will not be allowed. 3 warnings per race will result in disqualification
- Shut-offs are not to be used. 25 lap penalty applies for each use.

RULES (Aircraft) |

|
- All aircraft should be profile models simply and strongly built, (with rio need for internal controls or streamlining) that are recognisable as real aircraft (Goodyear or examples of real aircraft e.g. Mustang or Spitfire) approximately 23" - 28" span.
- Engines must be a maximum of 2.5 cc with no muffler required.
- 5.. Maximum fuel tank piping size 1/8" outside diameter. No fast fill is. Permitted.
- Control lines will be 52' 3" from the centre of the aircraft to the front of the handle grip and will be checked at the beginning of each competition. Minimum line diameter .012".
