 |
| |
|
The aims of club race are:
- To encourage team racing skills amongst less experienced flyers.
- To enable flyers to compete with simple, attractive, cheap but strong aircraft that can be powered by any 2.5 cc engine.
- To encourage' flyers to compete where no event was easily accessible previously and while winning is important fun and enjoyment are seen as top priorities.
- To have a racing event which will- not be dominated by expensive equipment and technology.

RULES (Flying) |
|
|
| |
|
- Each competitor shall fly 2 x 5 minute heats and 1 x 10 minute final. The score will be the sum of the laps for the final and the better of two heats (1 discarded).
- As no cut outs are allowed each competitor must judge the size of his fuel tank to enable him to have one pit stop in a five minute heat and two pit stops in a ten minute final. Different tanks can be used.
- When a plane pits it must be taken to any vacant pit (6 marked on the circle) for refuelling and restarting. No one has the right to a pit once a plane has left it. If a pit is occupied you must go to the next nearest pit or wait for a pit to become vacant. Fouling another competitor during this operation will result in disqualification.
- It is essential to complete a minimum of one lap after a pit stop to record an official flight. If this not done a score of zero laps will be recorded.
- Planes will be checked over 10 laps during flights to ensure the speed rule is not broken. 32 seconds per 10 laps equals 70 mph. A penalty of 25 laps will result for each speeding flight.
- High flying will not be allowed. 3 warnings per race will result in disqualification.
